Utah whitewater - Virgin River, Washington County Washington county, Virgin to Littlefield section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS I-V(V+)     49 miles   The natural beauty of Utah and the water flowing gracefully down Virgin River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The starting point is not too far from St. George, as you can see on the road map further down. The Virgin to Littlefield stretch of Virgin River in Washington County is 49 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-V(V+) section. The Virgin to Littlefield section is the only paddling section along Virgin River. The campgrounds here at Virgin River are pretty good. There are some good hotels     near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. A stretch of this length does require some preparations, so it looks like you will be camping out. Briefly about the general area: Mokaac Wash is in close proximity to Virgin River and is undeniably a great location to visit. Virgin River is ordinarily a pretty waterless location; the month with most of the rain is March, and June meanwhile is the driest month. All through the summer months at Virgin River temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's.
