CLASS II     2 miles
This section of Yellowstone River is 2 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. The beautiful scenery of Utah and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a pretty short section so no need to bring snacks. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area
with not too many other places for that. When you're paddling down a Uinta Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. The nearby
hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Yellowstone River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Swift Creek to Reservoir stretch is the only one.

Briefly about the general area:
Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Uinta Mountains. It's always wonderful to visit Aspen Spring. A visit to Grants Spring will fill your spirit with great feelings, and you might also want to pay a visit to Cow Canyon while you're here at Yellowstone River.
