You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There's camping available near Ball Mountain Brook. The put-in location is a short drive from Bennington, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. Ball Mountain Brook doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Metcalf Road to Jamaica State Park section is the only one.
