This section of Clyde River is 21 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-III section. The wild scenery of the Green Mountains is great. The wonderful Vermont scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Clyde River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There are no other stretches to paddle along Clyde River than the Route 105/114 junction to Clyde Road stretch. You can pitch     a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Clyde River regularly tend to be in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Clyde River. Go for a hike on the Mount Pisgah East Trail.
