The Route 105/114 junction to Clyde Road section of Clyde River in Orleans County is 21 miles long and it is classified as a class I-III section by American Whitewater. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you won't find many other paddling places. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so better not forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners.     The beautiful Green Mountains scenery is an added bonus. The Route 105/114 junction to Clyde Road section is the only paddling section along Clyde River. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: Clyde River gets a typical amount of yearly rain; August is when you get the most rain here while February is typically the driest month. There are glorious spots to discover along the Mount Pisgah East Trail. Summer at Clyde River comes with high temperatures in   the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Clyde River temperatures sink to the 0's.
