The average Vermont whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. Briefly about the general area: From a rain point of view Clyde River is a rather typical place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. Near Clyde River you find the Mount Pisgah East Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail.   During the summertime months here at Clyde River, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. During the winter highs are usually in the 20's with temperatures at Clyde River dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
