The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Lebanon, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The beauty of the Green Mountains is a great plus for this river. This stretch is very short so you'd better
be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This is the only paddling section along Connecticut River. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad
you came. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Vermont tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy.
