WOW. don't come here unless you been paddlin for some time. Although a bit easier than CL5 I have done in other states, this still comes at you fast. Not easy to find a place to stay if looking for a room as it was stated here. Wasn't hard to find a place and park for the night though and with a mini van with DVDs, we snuggled up nice, with noone to bother us. Oh yeah, nice and cool at night (although summer) glad we had a lot of blankets and ways to stay warm. Says ipaddleguy

The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Vermont are
    often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. The nature scenery of Vermont and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. The Heartwellville to Readsboro Village stretch
is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This stretch is short so no need to bring snacks. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. If you're

Briefly about the general area:
Some tremendous nature is available in Readsboro Municipal Forest, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Deerfield River - West Branch; Dunbar Brook Trail is a splendid local trail. Deerfield River - West Branch is a reasonably wet place usually with a large amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Through the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Deerfield River - West Branch. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Deerfield River - West Branch plunge into the 0's.
