The Green River to West Leyden stretch of Green River in Vermont is 6.8 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners.
