The Green River to West Leyden stretch of Green River in Vermont is 6.8 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. If you're coming from Springfield it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but
if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. There are
