This stretch of Joe's Brook River in Vermont is 10 miles long and it is classified as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Vermont are easier than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. When you're paddling down a Green Mountains
river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go
ahead and pack your camp stove. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. The natural beauty of Vermont and the water flowing gracefully down Joe's Brook River attract people from near and far. Joe's Brook River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the West Danville to covered bridge stretch is the only one.
