This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your sleeping bag. This section of Lamoille River is 11.5 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. Getting     some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Slide Falls to Jeffersonville section is one of them. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. The wild scenery of the Green Mountains is great. The wonderful Vermont scenery and the playfulness of the water beats anything. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Lamoille River ordinarily tend to be in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are   in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lamoille River. Lamoille River sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.
