The put-in location is a short drive from Burlington-South Burlington, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your sleeping bag. This section of Lamoille River is 11.5 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. Getting
some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Slide Falls to Jeffersonville section is one of them. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are
lots of good places for that around here. The wild scenery of the Green Mountains is great. The wonderful Vermont scenery and the playfulness of the water beats anything. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.

Head up to Smugglers Notch and strap some skis to your feet.
