CLASS II 10 miles
The put-in is not too far from Burlington-South Burlington, as you can see on the road map further down. The Prindle Corner to Lake Champlain stretch of Lewis Creek is 10 miles long and it is classified as a class II section by American Whitewater. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your camp stove. The beautiful scenery of Vermont and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. There aren’t any
hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either
way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners.
