The Fosters to Recreation Path parking lot section of Little River - West Branch is 3 miles long and is a class II(IV) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The starting point is not too far from Barre, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. This is a pretty short section so no need to bring snacks. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The beautiful scenery of Lamoille County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. No need to look hard for hotels, but if you don’t
have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Vermont tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so better not forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking,
either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. The Green Mountains scenery is wonderful. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more.

Hill Loop Trail. The high level of precipitation makes Little River - West Branch a relatively wet place; August is when you get the most rain here; February meanwhile is the driest month. Gotta ski! Stowe is a brilliant location to do that; why not take a refreshing hike along
the Haselton Trail. For the period of the warmest time of the year highs here at Little River - West Branch get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's for Little River - West Branch.
