This stretch of Little River - West Branch in Lamoille County is 3 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II(IV) section of whitewater. The starting location is a short drive from Barre, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. This section is quite short so
it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Vermont are easier than the national norm, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. The campgrounds here at Little River - West

There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Fosters to Recreation Path parking lot stretch is one of them. Whitewater paddling here in the Green Mountains is a great experience. There are many good hotels to choose from, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
