The average Vermont whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. The natural beauty of Vermont and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The Kimball Road to Route 12 stretch of Minister Brook in Vermont is 3 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. Whitewater paddling here in the Green Mountains is a great experience. There aren’t any hotels right nearby
but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter,
there are lots of good rivers for that around here. This is a short paddling stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. There are no other sections to paddle along Minister Brook than the Kimball Road to Route 12 section. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Barre, as you can see on the road map further down.
