  The put-in location is a short drive from Burlington-South Burlington, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Vermont are easier than the national norm, so keep in mind that many of the sections in this state are safe for beginners. The natural beauty of Vermont and the water flowing gracefully down Missisquoi River attract people from near and far. Getting some good exercise
    and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you donít have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. No matter
if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. A stretch of this length does require some preparations, so make sure you pack enough food along with your camping gear. The campgrounds here at Missisquoi River are pretty good. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.

Lake Carmi State Park is a good spot to go
 
    if you're at Missisquoi River, and if you want to stop at some attention-grabbing stuff, stop at Little Pinnacle. There are plenty of folks from Enosburg Falls here at Missisquoi River. Enosburg Falls Municipal Forest is
  a good local forest, and wonderful scenery and splendid skiing is what you obtain at Mont Sutton. Through the summertime months, highs usually are in the 80's at Missisquoi River. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's while Missisquoi River nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's.
