  The starting location is a short drive from Burlington-South Burlington, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot
    of people coming here. The campgrounds here at Missisquoi River are pretty good. The East Richford to Lake Champlain section is the only paddling section along Missisquoi River. A stretch of this length does require some preparations, so make sure you pack enough food along with
your camping gear. The wonderful Franklin County scenery and the cool fresh water will make you feel great.

Missisquoi River sees pretty high levels of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest.
The trees of Enosburg Falls Municipal Forest are a perfect source of shade on hot summer days; you need to pop by Little Pinnacle if you're here. Summertime highs at Missisquoi River typically tend to be in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically
