The East Brighton Bridge to Connecticut River section of Nulhegan River in Vermont is 13 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV section of whitewater. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Berlin, as you can see on the road map further down. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. The average Vermont whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here
are not very demanding. There's camping available near Nulhegan River. When you're paddling down a Green Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. There are no other stretches to paddle along Nulhegan River than the East Brighton Bridge to Connecticut
River stretch. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your camp stove. The beautiful scenery of Vermont and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
