The Right above Route 4 to 1 Mile below Route 4 stretch of Ottauquechee River in Windsor County is 1 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III+(V) section of whitewater. The Green Mountains scenery is wonderful. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Vermont tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so don't forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. This stretch is very short so better bring     some good walking shoes. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Lebanon, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. There are many good hotels to choose from, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
