The starting point is not too far from Rutland, as you can see on the road map further down. The natural beauty of Rutland / Addison County and the water flowing gracefully down Otter Creek have people coming here. The campgrounds here at Otter Creek are pretty good. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find
    lots of paddling rivers. This section is very short so no need to bring snacks. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Vermont is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. This is the only paddling section
along Otter Creek.

All through the long summer days at Otter Creek temperatures are usually in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Otter Creek.
