The Kelly Stand Road to East Kansas stretch of Roaring Branch in Vermont is 3.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class V section. When you're paddling down a Green Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. No need to look hard for hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might
end up sleeping in your car. There are no other sections to paddle along Roaring Branch than the Kelly Stand Road to East Kansas section. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. This is a somewhat short section so you'll have
to walk back to the start over and over. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The nature scenery of Vermont and the water flowing gracefully down Roaring Branch have people coming here. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Vermont are often easier than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners.

comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Roaring Branch. The high level of rainfall makes Roaring Branch a reasonably wet site; August is the month that gets the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month.
