This stretch of Saxton's River is 11 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. Saxton's River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Grafton to Connecticut River stretch is the     only one. The beautiful scenery of Vermont and the water flowing gracefully down Saxton's River have people coming here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There are some good hotels near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places.
