The North Wardsboro to West River section of Wardsboro Brook is 4.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV section of whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. The North Wardsboro to West River section is the only paddling section along Wardsboro Brook. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature
will make you glad you came. The starting location is a short drive from Bennington, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. On this
section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. The campgrounds here at Wardsboro Brook are pretty good. The beauty of the Green Mountains is a great plus for this river. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
