The put-in location is a short drive from Bennington, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The natural beauty of Windham County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The beauty of the Green Mountains is a great plus for this river. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
The North Wardsboro to West River section of Wardsboro Brook is 4.5 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Vermont is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding.
Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. This is the only paddling section along Wardsboro Brook. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots.
