There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.     The North Wardsboro to West River section of Wardsboro Brook is 4.5 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Vermont is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. This is the only paddling section along Wardsboro Brook. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. There is a magnificent hiking trail in the vicinity of Wardsboro Brook called the Overlook Trail, and   going for a hike on the Railroad Bed Trail is always a good adventure. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Wardsboro Brook.
