The nature scenery of Windham County and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Ball Mountain Dam to Jamaica State Park section is one of them. This is a bit of a short stretch so no need to bring snacks. The rivers for whitewater     rafting and kayaking here in Vermont are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy.
