The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Vermont are often easier than in other states, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. The nature scenery of Orange County and the cool fresh water have people coming here. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good places for that around here. The nearby hotels are     a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whitewater paddling here in the Green Mountains is a great experience. The starting location is a short drive from Lebanon, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
