This section of Big Moccasin Creek in Virginia is 6 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-III(IV) section of whitewater. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. The beautiful scenery of Virginia and the beautiful way the water current moves     down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This is the only paddling stretch along Big Moccasin Creek. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy.
