You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away       from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is a bit of a short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. Briefly about the general   area: While you're here at Big Wilson Creek you will meet lots of people from nearby Troutdale, and going for a hike along the First Peak Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Mount Jefferson State Park is worth checking out if you're at Big Wilson Creek; you can have a good hiking adventure along the Bearpen Trail.
