The wonderful Wise County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Virginia are often easier than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. When you're paddling down a Cumberland Plateau Mountains river like this one you always get great     scenery along the way too. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is the only paddling stretch along Clear Creek. This is a very short stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch.
