This section of Difficult Run in Fairfax County is 0.9 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-IV(V+) section. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Since     you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The beautiful scenery of Virginia and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. This is a very short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. If you   come to this river you will have a good time for sure. On a fine day at Difficult Run you can take a hike along the Potomac Heritage Trail, and Wolf Trap Farm Park is a pleasant national park. Summertime highs at Difficult Run usually tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; overnight lows at Difficult Run during the wintertime ordinarily fall into the 20's.
