  The starting point is not too far from Lynchburg. The scenic beauty of Virginia and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. The Route 130 to James River stretch of Harris Creek in Virginia is 7 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-III section of whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so better not forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Some
    people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but
if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more.
