This stretch of Jennings Creek in Virginia is 4.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Botetourt County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. The put-in is not too far from Roanoke, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is the only paddling section along Jennings Creek. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large
number of paddling spots. When you're paddling down a Blue Ridge Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because
it is a very popular destination. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here.

of precipitation. Take a hike on the Cove Mountain Trail, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the McFalls Ridge Trail. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. Through the summertime months highs here at Jennings
