Virginia whitewater - Newfound River, Hanover County

Hanover county, Rocketts Mill to US 1 section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS II(III)     4 miles
The nature scenery of Virginia and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything.     to keep you coming back for more. Lodging is available near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch of Newfound River in Hanover County is 4 miles long and is a class II(III) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater.
