The scenic beauty of Virginia and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There are campgrounds quite near the river     where you can camp. The Route 661 to Dunlap Creek section of Ogle Creek is 5.7 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. This is the only paddling section along Ogle Creek. Briefly about the general area: All the water falling down from the sky makes Ogle Creek a wet place; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. During the days of summer highs here at Ogle Creek reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Ogle Creek.
