This is a very short section so better bring some good walking shoes. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. Briefly about the general area: Going for a hike on the Upland Trail is always a wonderful adventure; you can go for a hike on the Woods Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Pimmit Run with night lows in the 60's. Highs through the   wintertime are frequently in the 40's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Pimmit Run temperatures plunge to the 20's. This river is always fun. The Potomac Gorge is a great site to have a look at close by, and obviously, all our national parks are good places to check out and Glen Echo Park is no exception.
