The nature scenery of Virginia and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Virginia you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so better not forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. No need to look hard for hotels, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't
matter, this area has a large number of paddling spots. The put-in is not too far from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The Glebe Road to Potomac stretch

Briefly about the general area: Going for a hike on the Upland Trail is always a wonderful adventure; you can go for a hike on the Woods Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Pimmit Run with night lows in the 60's. Highs through the
wintertime are frequently in the 40's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Pimmit Run temperatures plunge to the 20's. This river is always fun. The Potomac Gorge is a great site to have a look at close by, and obviously, all our national parks are good places to
check out and Glen Echo Park is no exception. The yearly rainfall here at Pimmit Run is about average; most of the rain falls all through May, and the driest month of the year is February.
