Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The average Virginia whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier     to run than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere.
