The Route 647 to Route 211 stretch of Rappahannock River is 13.5 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Fauquier/ Culpeper County and the cool fresh water have people coming here. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance
then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots.
