On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Virginia is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. There are so many sections to paddle in this river     system, the Remington to Kellys Ford section is just one of many. The nature scenery of Fauquier/ Culpeper County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The campgrounds here at Rappahannock River are pretty good. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
