The Two miles to Robinson River stretch of Rose River is 2 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III section. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This stretch is short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area:
Rose River is a good place of normal precipitation; during July this area sees the most rain while February is usually the driest month.
There's great hiking along the Cedar Run Trail, and the Rose River Trail offers hiking at its best. During the days of summer here at Rose River, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Rose River are in the 20's. | |
