The Washington to Rock Mills stretch of Rush River in Rapahannock County is 6 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. There are no other sections to paddle along Rush River than the Washington to Rock Mills section. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that     quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come.
