This stretch of Stock Creek is 1.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV+(V) section of whitewater. The scenic beauty of Scott County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. The Upper Gorge stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than     the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. There's camping available near Stock Creek. This is a short paddling stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near.
