The natural beauty of Virginia and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. The Rt. 613 to Route
611 section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. The put-in location is a short drive from Bristol, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking,
either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. This is an extremely short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
