This stretch of Tye River - North Fork in Virginia is 3 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American Whitewater. The natural beauty of Virginia and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while
are sure to keep you coming back for more. The starting point is not too far from Staunton-Waynesboro, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one
