The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your camping stuff. The put-in is not too far from Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost.     The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is the only paddling section along Walker Creek. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers.
