The wonderful Washington scenery and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. The Rapid River to South Fork Skykomish section of Beckler River in Washington is 7.3 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. Beckler River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Rapid River to South Fork Skykomish     section is the only one. The river winds through the Northern Cascade Range and you get great scenery. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The campgrounds here at Beckler River are pretty good. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. Briefly about the general area: The slopes of Stephens Pass are so inviting noone can resist. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Beckler River. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and   through the dark hours in the winter at Beckler River temperatures sink to the 30's. The high level of precipitation makes Beckler River a relatively wet place; December is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is July.
