The natural beauty of King/Snohomish County and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have     reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. The Rapid River to South Fork Skykomish section is the only paddling section along Beckler River. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. Briefly about the general area: Beckler River ordinarily gets much rainfall; December is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is July. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Stevens Pass.   Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Beckler River. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Beckler River.
