The Tunnel Creek to Rainbow Campground section of Big Quilcene River in Jefferson County is 2 miles long and has been rated as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Since you're on     this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. The wild scenery of the Olympic Mountains is great. This is a bit of a short stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch.
