The natural beauty of Snohomish County and the water flowing gracefully down Boulder River attract people from near and far. If you're coming from Mount Vernon-Anacortes it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Boulder River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Boulder Falls to mouth stretch is the only one. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that
the rivers in this state are less manageable. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The campgrounds here at Boulder River are pretty
good. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Boulder Falls to mouth stretch of Boulder River in Snohomish County is 5 miles long and it is classified as a class III section by American Whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.

gets a lot of rainfall; through December this area sees the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. During the summer months at Boulder River temperatures are typically in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. During the
winter this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Boulder River are in the 30's. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. Put some time aside to spend at Boulder Falls while you're here at Boulder River. Take a hike on the Finney Peak Trail, and you have to have a look at French Point when you're here.
