This stretch of Canyon Creek - Lewis River Tributary is 3.2 miles long and it is classified as a class IV+ section by American Whitewater. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Longview-Kelso, as you can see on the road map further down. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. The campgrounds here at
    Canyon Creek - Lewis River Tributary are pretty good. This is a bit of a short stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have
reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. The nature scenery of Clark County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots.
