The starting location is a reasonable drive from Mount Vernon-Anacortes, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. The scenic beauty of Washington and the water flowing gracefully down Canyon Creek - North Fork Nooksack have people coming here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before
you come because it is a very popular destination. This stretch of Canyon Creek - North Fork Nooksack in Washington is 4.5 miles long and is a class IV-V+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors
will have you coming back for more. There are no other sections to paddle along Canyon Creek - North Fork Nooksack than the Canyon Creek Bridge to Glacier SpringSouth section. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience.
