The put-in location is a short drive from Aberdeen, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The natural beauty of Grays Harbor County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. Canyon River - Satsop Tributary doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the FR 2260 to Cougar Smith Road stretch is the only one. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so
you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight
trip, so pack your camping stuff. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come.
