The Fairfax to 177th St. East section of Carbon River in Washington is 9 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American Whitewater. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. You can     pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The river winds through the Northern Cascade Range and you get great scenery. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle.
