The starting point is not too far from Longview-Kelso, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This section of Cedar Creek in Clark County is 10.3 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III(IV) section by American Whitewater. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The
rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. This is the only paddling section along Cedar Creek. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river
like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. The beautiful scenery of Clark County and the cool fresh water have people coming here. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here.

rain around here, and the driest month is July. All through the months of summer at Cedar Creek temperatures are commonly in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's; overnight lows through the wintertime for Cedar Creek tend to be in the 30's.
