This section of Cedar Creek in Washington is 10.3 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III(IV) section of whitewater. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so better not forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to
one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. The scenic beauty of Washington and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you
feel great. The campgrounds here at Cedar Creek are pretty good. Cedar Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Amboy to North Fork Lewis stretch is the only one. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camping stuff.
Briefly about the general area: Cedar Creek is a reasonably wet place mostly with a large amount of rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here; July is when it's the driest. The
warmest time of the year at Cedar Creek arrives with high temperatures in the 70's while night lows are commonly in the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are usually in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Cedar Creek.
