Landsburg bridge to Maplewood Roadside Park section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II 15.5 miles
Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The wonderful Washington scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater
rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. If you're coming from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The nearby hotels are a
bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. This stretch of Cedar River is 15.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II section by American Whitewater. This is the only paddling section along Cedar River.
