If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The put-in location is a short drive from Wenatchee, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors     will make you glad you came. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. The wonderful Washington scenery and the cool fresh water beats anything. Chelan River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Lake Chelan to Columbia River section is the only one. Briefly about the general area: It is very dry here at Chelan River frequently; the month with most of the snow is December while July is generally the driest month. Lots of fun awaits you along this river. Don't leave Chelan River without first paying a visit to North Beebe Spring, and a brilliant spot close by is Daybreak Canyon. At Chelan River throughout the days   of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Chelan River temperatures dip to the 20's. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Beebe Springs, and you can hit the slopes at Echo Valley nearby.
