Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. This stretch of Chelan River is 4 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V section. This is the only paddling section along Chelan River. There's camping available near Chelan River. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend     a night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other spots. Briefly about the general area: Around Chelan River you don’t get a lot of precipitation; all through the month of December you get the most snow around here; July is when it's the driest. Summertime at Chelan River comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Chelan River tend to be in the 20's. A short visit to   Beebe Springs is always worthwhile, and a splendid place to take a look at nearby is Daybreak Canyon. This river is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Echo Valley in the vicinity, and North Beebe Spring is an inspiring place to take a look at while here.
