The scenic beauty of Okanogan County and the cool fresh water beats anything. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. You can pitch a tent or park     your RV at a nearby campground. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good places for that around here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beauty of the Northern Cascade Range is a great plus for this river. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: Chewuch River gets very little rainfall; December is when you get the most snow here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Summer at Chewuch River arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's.
