The wonderful Okanogan County scenery and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other rivers for that. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd     better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Andrews Camp to Camp Four section is one of them. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. Briefly about the general area: Through the summer at Chewuch River highs are ordinarily in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Chewuch River fall   into the 10's. Chewuch River is a location that is rather dehydrated regularly; December is when you get the most snow here, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
